My name is Sheena Osman and I have been selected as Miss Brampton International, one of the National Delegates in Miss Canada International, the largest scholarship achievement program for young women in Canada. I will be competing in July 2009 with 30 delegates across Canada for the title of Miss Canada International 2010.

In order to compete for the title of Miss Canada International 2010, I must complete a Teddy Bears of Hope Project prior to June 1st 2009, by:

  • Collecting 2,000 teddy bears or stuffed animals (can be used or new).
  •  Each teddy bear must have a message attached from their donator.
  • Each teddy bear must include a toonie.

The purpose of this project is to give love and hope to underprivileged children across the world and to fill an emotional void that monetary donations can't as children know no value to a dollar.

To date, the Teddy Bears of Hope Campaign has sent teddy bears to Thailand, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Guatemala, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. This year’s campaign will target the children of Uganda.

I am seeking assistance from businesses, schools, stores or anyone who may have any teddy bears or stuffed animals that they are willing to donate or who are interested in starting their own mountain of teddy bears in their company or school. This will allow you to contribute to a worthy cause with a reputable non-profit organization, Miss Canada International.

A prompt reply to my request is much appreciated as for the deadline for my project is short. If you would like to take part in this wonderful campaign and help bring a smile to a child’s face from another part of the world, please contact me.

Thank you.
